Cory Doctorow is a blogger, journalist and activist that collaborates with Boing Boing, Wired and published a number of science fiction novels.
His business model is based on gaining visibility in many fields mainly connected with technology and new media. From a purely business point of view, i believe that his work is mainly based on what could be defined in economical terms as externalities.
