Jargon File

The Jargon File is a good example on how an approach to technology and economics can create a whole culture.
While browsing through the file my attention eventually fell on the part that talks about food (yes, that definitely ends up feeling intriguing to me) and i felt surprised while reading about the asian habits of hackers.
I wonder if there's a sort of cuisine-hacking culture out there in the world
